Come as you are. There is room for your grief here.
Grounding Grief is a seven-session experience for those living with grief, loss, and life’s transitions. It is a space where grief is welcomed, witnessed, and gently held in the presence of others.
Our Purpose
Whether grief arrives through death, trauma, caregiving, relationships, changing health, lost futures, disappointment, or the accumulation of several losses over time, it can obscure our sense of belonging, connection, and aliveness.
Grounding Grief is a grief-tending space rooted in belonging, witnessing, embodiment, and remembering that grief was never meant to be carried alone. Together, participants are invited to remain in meaningful relationship with themselves, with one another, and with life, while remembering what loss cannot take from them.
Session Intention
Grounding Grief is a facilitated grief and embodiment circle offering space to explore grief through grounding practices, somatic awareness, reflection, remembrance, gentle movement, music, writing, and shared practice.
Participants are invited to arrive as they are, connect with what is present, and engage in practices that support expression, processing, connection, and integration. The purpose is not to fix grief or move participants toward a predetermined outcome. It is to create a compassionate and carefully held space where grief can be witnessed and tended in community.
What the Space Is About
Grief has a way of making us feel separate from the world around us. Sometimes grief follows a death. At other times, it grows from trauma, caregiving, relationships, lost possibilities, changing identities, life transitions, disappointments, or the accumulation of several losses over time.
Grounding Grief is a two-hour, biweekly grief-tending gathering that supports participants in gently reconnecting with what grief can make difficult to feel. It is rooted in belonging, witnessing, and remembering what holds us when grief feels heavy.
Through grounding, reflection, grief-attuned witnessing, gentle movement, music, writing, psychoeducation, and presence, participants learn to witness themselves and one another with compassion. This is not about fixing grief. When sorrow is met in the presence of others, the nervous system is reminded that grief does not have to be carried alone.
Together We Will
Arrive as you are and share what’s present. Listen to words, poetry, and reflections that name our experiences while reconnecting with the wisdom of the body through gentle movement, music, and creative practices like writing or drawing. Witness and be witnessed without fixing or advising, and explore grief and gratitude through pendulation. Leave feeling a bit more grounded and connected.
