Karen is an Advanced Practice Nurse, Certified Advanced Grief Counselling Specialist, Certified Gerontological Nurse (C) and Health Executive, with over 25 years of experience.
Throughout her career in both clinical and leadership roles, she has supported individuals and families through complex life changes, caregiving, and profound loss. Her diverse healthcare background gives her a deep, lived understanding of how illness, aging, stress, and grief, including death and dying, touch every part of who we are.
Karen is passionate about accompanying individuals through grief in all its forms, whether arising from loss, death, health changes, or shifts in relationship and identity. Specializing in care for women, older adults, and leaders across healthcare, her practice addresses the complexities of caregiving, generational trauma, midlife transitions, and reproductive loss or infertility.
She also works with those who may feel stuck in anxiety, depression, anger, or emotional patterns that no longer serve them. Together, they explore what may be getting in the way, build practical tools for nervous system regulation, and cultivate greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and more supportive, aligned ways of relating to themselves and others.
Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens when evidence-informed care meets genuine human connection. Weaving person-centered, neuro-informed, neuro-affirming, and somatic principles with Neural Network Therapy® and specialized Grief Tending and Ritual practices, Karen creates a supportive space rooted in attuned presence and mutual trust.
Therapy is individualized to each person’s needs, pace, culture, identity, and strengths. Whether individuals are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, grieving, or simply looking for support, Karen offers a non-judgmental place to pause, reflect, explore, adjust, and renew, moving forward, in a way where the journey is honoured and wellness is intentionally cultivated.
