Elise Rosner R.S.S.W.
My name is Elise, and I am so happy you are here. I am a Registered Social Service Worker practicing Psychotherapy at The Rooted Heart Psychotherapy and Wellness. With a deep-rooted background in non-profit and peer support work, I bring a unique understanding of neurodiversity and chronic illness, as well as a compassionate approach to mental health care for clients in Ontario.
I Specialize in:
Women’s Issues
Trauma
Anxiety and Depression
LGBTQ+ Identity and Exploration
My aim is to help you feel more grounded and regulated as we work together. Using a variety of skills and techniques, I will support you through whatever challenges you may be facing. You are the expert of your own experience, and I am here to listen, support, and create a compassionate space just for you.
My Approach:
I work from a feminist, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed lens, recognizing that every person’s experience is unique. I take an eclectic approach, weaving together different therapeutic modalities to meet your specific needs. My work is grounded in:
Attachment Theory
Somatic Approaches
Compassion-Focused Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
My background in movement and dance has inspired me to integrate more somatic approaches, helping clients connect with their bodies and process emotions through movement and awareness. I value building a strong, trusting rapport where you feel safe to communicate openly about what does and doesn’t work for you.
In our sessions, we will collaborate to help you find calm and clarity. All feelings are welcome here, and together, we will work toward a path that honors your individual journey and goals.
